Xbox Game Pass announces August 2026 game additions and departures

Microsoft has announced the second wave of game additions to the Xbox Game Pass service for late August and early September 2026. The lineup features several ‘Day One’ releases, including the highly anticipated Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy from Asobo Studio, which arrives on August 27. Other major Day One titles include Vapor World: Over the Mind on August 19 and Blood Dungeon on August 25.

Additional titles joining the service throughout this period include Egging On, BlazBlue Entropy Effect X, Relooted, Starsand Island, Aerial_Knight’s DropShot, Young Suns, and Shelldiver. These additions are distributed across various subscription tiers, including Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Premium.

Conversely, several titles are scheduled to leave the service on August 31, most notably The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered Edition. Other departing games include Another Crab’s Treasure, I Am Your Beast, Neon Abyss, and One Lonely Outpost. NBA 2K26 is also slated to exit the catalog shortly after in early September.
