Microsoft launches Xbox 25th Anniversary FanFest tour and free profile badge

Microsoft announced a global Xbox 25th Anniversary FanFest tour that will visit seven cities—Cologne (Germany) for Gamescom on August 26, Tokyo (Japan) during the Tokyo Game Show, London (UK), Mexico City (Mexico), Sydney (Australia), Toronto (Canada) and Seattle (US). Tickets are distributed through city‑specific sweepstakes.

To mark the milestone, the company released a commemorative profile badge available to any Xbox account signed in on console, PC or the mobile app through the end of 2026. It also added new gamerpics, wallpapers and a dynamic console theme created by community artists Klobrille and Ben Kenobi. A curated Xbox Game Pass collection featuring titles such as Fable Anniversary, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Fallout 4, Psychonauts 2 and Grounded highlights games from each Xbox generation. The celebration coincides with recent Xbox Game Pass price cuts and the upcoming release of a translucent green Xbox Series X in November.
