Microsoft releases PowerToys 0.102 update with new mouse utilities

Microsoft has launched version 0.102 of PowerToys, an open-source suite of system utilities designed for advanced Windows users. This update introduces two primary mouse-related features: Mouse Button Lock and CursorHide.

Mouse Button Lock allows users to drag or select items without physically holding down the mouse button. By holding the button for several seconds, the lock activates, enabling continuous movement until the user clicks again. This is intended to assist with tasks such as image editing.

CursorHide automatically hides the mouse pointer while the user is typing or after a period of inactivity. Users can configure the idle delay between 1 and 60 seconds. Additionally, the update includes improvements to the Command Palette, new command-line tools for automation, and updates to Keyboard Manager, Color Picker, and Text Extractor.
