Microsoft to launch interactive Excel dashboards via Copilot Canvas

Microsoft is preparing to launch Copilot Canvas for Excel, a feature designed to transform traditional spreadsheets into interactive, visual dashboards. According to product roadmaps, the tool will integrate charts, key metrics, and analytical insights into a single interactive view that automatically updates when underlying data changes.

Users will be able to modify dashboard content through natural language dialogue. The feature aims to reduce the need for users to switch between multiple worksheets and charts to view critical data. Deployment is expected to begin in the coming weeks, with a target for full rollout by early October.

This move follows similar AI-driven data visualization developments from competitors like Google, which utilizes its Gemini model to transform Google Sheets into interactive mini-apps via natural language commands.
