Microsoft Windows 10 support to end in October 2026

Microsoft is scheduled to end official support for Windows 10 on October 12, 2026. After this date, users who do not participate in the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program will no longer receive regular security updates.

This lack of support increases the vulnerability of devices to viruses, malware, and ransomware. To mitigate these risks, users are encouraged to check if their current hardware is compatible with Windows 11 via Windows Update or the Microsoft PC Health Check app. If hardware requirements are not met, upgrading to a new device may be necessary to ensure continued security.
