Mierzyc Singing and Ritual Ensemble celebrates 15th anniversary

The Singing and Ritual Ensemble from Mierzyc, located in the Wierzchlas commune, is celebrating its 15th anniversary. To mark this milestone, a formal jubilee celebration will be held on September 26 at 4:00 PM at the Municipal Cultural and Sports Center in Wierzchlas.

Operating through the Rural Housewives' Club in Mierzyc, the group began its activities at local harvest festivals and has since expanded to participating in various competitions. Members Agata Stępińska and Katarzyna Papierkowska noted that the ensemble provides essential social integration and a reprieve from daily rural life and responsibilities.

The group is led by Piotr Sitarski, who assists the members in developing their musical passions and preparing performances. The anniversary festivities include community gatherings and traditional culinary offerings.
