Migrazioni sonore project connects Italy and Canada through music and food

The “Migrazioni sonore 2026” project is facilitating a cultural exchange between Italy and Canada through music and gastronomy. The musical group I Matti delle Giuncaie, alongside Stefano “Borrkia” Toncelli and Julian Corradini, is currently in Quebec for a month of concerts, radio appearances, and television engagements.

The initiative will culminate on November 11 at the Casa d’Italia in Montreal with the “Fuori Cucina” event, held under the patronage of the Consulate General of Italy in Montreal. The program aims to showcase contemporary Tuscan and Marche identities, moving beyond traditional stereotypes.

In addition to musical performances blending folk, rock, and Italian popular music with Latin American influences, the event will feature regional Italian products. Featured items include Morellino di Scansano wine, organic honey from Pisa, extra virgin olive oil from Marche, and artisanal pasta, serving as culinary ambassadors for their respective territories.
