Żmigród plans professional Formula 1-standard racing track

A professional motorsport racing circuit capable of hosting Formula 1 events is being planned for the Żmigród municipality in Lower Silesia, Poland. The project, which covers approximately 85 hectares, has been in development for five to six years.

Mayor Robert Lewandowski confirmed that the municipality has already updated its spatial development plans to accommodate sports and service-related activities. The investor has reportedly acquired over 60 hectares of land for the project. While the identity of the investor remains officially undisclosed at the request of the developer, local reports suggest the Dominator Group is behind the venture.

The project is currently undergoing environmental procedures, including a required nature inventory. Although the facility is designed to meet Formula 1 standards, the Mayor noted that the construction of the track does not automatically guarantee the hosting of a Grand Prix.
