Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas advances research and student support

The Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT) is actively collaborating with the Tamaulipas state government on several academic and social initiatives. The university is facilitating access to the ‘Beca Futuro Tamaulipas’ program, managed by ITABEC, to support students facing socioeconomic challenges. Registration for this scholarship is open until September 2, 2026, for various academic levels.

Additionally, UAT researchers have received recognition from Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya for their contributions to the energy sector, specifically in areas such as energy efficiency and emissions monitoring. The university has also delivered a significant environmental project to the State Secretariat of Urban Development and Environment (SEDUMA). This project involves a georeferenced inventory to identify suitable sites for municipal waste disposal, aiming to improve territorial planning and environmental management in the state.
