Miguel Diego Sandoval pleads guilty to Lancaster quadruple murder

Miguel Diego Sandoval, 21, has pleaded guilty to a November 2024 massacre at a home in Lancaster, California. Prosecutors stated the attack was a calculated act of revenge following the end of Sandoval’s relationship with Christine Aca-ac and Maquindang’s brother.

On November 16, 2024, Sandoval waited until the occupants of the North Tabler Avenue residence were asleep before entering the home and opening fire. The shooting killed four people: Janvi Maquindang, 21, Christine Aca-ac, 25, Edwin Garcia, 24, and Matthew Montebello, 21. Following the killings, Sandoval set the residence on fire and fled the scene.

During the incident, a 16-year-old victim managed to call 911 from a locked bedroom and was subsequently rescued by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies. Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman stated that the guilty plea will result in a lifetime prison sentence.
