Miguel Tellado defends PP priorities and criticizes Pedro Sánchez
Miguel Tellado, Secretary General of the Partido Popular (PP), has addressed internal party criticisms and political tensions during recent visits to Cuenca and Seville. In Cuenca, Tellado responded to calls for a provincial congress by stating that the party is currently focused on winning upcoming municipal, regional, and general elections rather than internal organizational matters. He noted that while Paco Núñez is a likely candidate for the Presidency of the Junta of Castilla-La Mancha, the final decision rests with the National Electoral Committee.
In Seville, Tellado defended Juan Jesús Vivas, the President of Ceuta, against attacks from the PSOE. He accused Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez of being disloyal to Vivas and the residents of Ceuta, labeling the Prime Minister a ‘puppet of Morocco’ regarding the management of migration at the border. Tellado criticized the government's handling of mass migration and called for the return of migrants to Morocco, while also condemning the Prime Minister for shifting responsibility onto autonomous communities.
