Mihraç Ural apprehended in joint intelligence operation

Mihraç Ural, a suspect linked to the 2013 Reyhanlı bombings and the massacres in Banyas and Beyda, has been apprehended. Reports indicate that Ural, also known by the alias Ali Kiyali, was caught by the Syrian General Intelligence Directorate while attempting to flee across the border.

Security sources state that the capture was the result of a coordinated intelligence operation between Turkey's National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and the Syrian General Intelligence Directorate (GİS). The operation followed long-term tracking of Ural's movements after the fall of the Assad regime.

Ural is a high-profile figure wanted in connection with the May 11, 2013, bombings in Reyhanlı, Turkey, which killed approximately 52 to 53 people. He is also accused of leading the 'People's Front for the Liberation of the Iskenderun Banner - Syrian Resistance' and was allegedly involved in the deaths of at least 150 people during the 2013 massacres in the Syrian coastal region.
