Mike Huckabee warns settlers against seizing Palestinian American land

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has warned Israeli settlers in the West Bank against seizing property owned by Palestinian Americans. Referring to the actions as a violation of religious principles, Huckabee stated that settlers involved in the siege of homes in the village of Qusra could face sanctions from both Israel and Washington.

In a separate matter regarding regional security, Huckabee defended the Trump administration’s decision to engage in direct talks with senior Hamas officials. He clarified that these meetings are not intended to legitimize the group, which he maintained remains a terrorist organization, but rather to deliver a message that Hamas must disarm and has no future role in governing Gaza.

Huckabee emphasized that direct communication ensures the American position is not distorted by intermediaries and reiterated that the United States recognizes Israel’s right to defend itself against terrorist operations.
