The visas would not expire, allow the holder to work and pay taxes, but would not confer voting rights. Applicants would be fingerprinted at registration. He described learning about the issue during trips to California to source cotton for his pillows. The proposal comes as Lindell, endorsed by former President Donald Trump, seeks to differentiate himself in the 2026 gubernatorial race.
