Mike Lindell Resigns as MyPillow CEO to Focus on Minnesota Gubernatorial Campaign

MyPillow founder and CEO Mike Lindell announced he is stepping down from day‑to‑day operations to devote his full attention to his campaign for Minnesota governor. He will remain on the company’s board and retain a minority shareholding, while James Furlong, who led the firm from 2004 to 2019, returns as chief executive.

Lindell, who has secured former President Donald Trump’s endorsement, is running for the Republican nomination to replace Democratic Governor Tim Walz, who is not seeking re‑election. His candidacy faces intra‑party challenges over residency questions, with the state GOP having endorsed another primary contender. The Republican primary is scheduled for August 11.
