Mila Seidl discusses future after death of Lito Sousa
Mila Seidl, widow of aviation influencer Lito Sousa, has shared her plans for moving forward following his death on October 1. Sousa passed away due to Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, a rare and degenerative neurological condition.
Seidl announced plans to travel to the United States with her son, Malone, to seek respite and support from family. She noted the emotional difficulty of traveling by air, given that aviation was the central theme of her late husband's career and life.
Looking toward the future, Seidl expressed an intention to establish an institute to support families facing similar medical challenges, particularly those with fewer resources. She also mentioned plans to eventually share details regarding the experimental medication ALN-6457, which Sousa was the first person in the world to use for his condition.
