Milan police conduct raids following reports of public disturbance

Authorities in Milan conducted raids following reports of public disturbance and illegal activities during the night of September 12-13. In the Affori area, police intervened at an association headquarters on via Montanari after residents reported noise and disorder.

Officers from the Comasina police station, local police, and the Questura discovered an unauthorized dance event equipped with strobe lights, a DJ console, and a bar. The operation resulted in 65 identifications, including 18 individuals with prior records. One 27-year-old Ecuadorian man was placed in custody, while a Peruvian citizen was detained for possession of marijuana and violating an expulsion order. Additionally, a Peruvian citizen was investigated for illegal building practices involving unauthorized sleeping quarters above the venue. The premises were sealed and a fine of 5,000 euros was issued.

In a separate but related context of local unrest, residents in the via Celentano and via Madre Picco areas reported significant disturbances, including blocked intersections, irregular parking, and crowds occupying the streets. Residents expressed frustration with the perceived lack of sustained police intervention despite repeated reports of chaos and potential illicit activities.
