Milewko farm fire destroys essential agricultural machinery

A major fire broke out at a farm in Milewko, located in the Nowe commune, during the night of Friday, September 11, into Saturday, September 12. The blaze began in a wooden barn and quickly spread to an adjacent agricultural building. Firefighters from the Świecie District Command and over ten additional units fought the flames for more than four hours. While the barn's structure eventually collapsed, emergency services successfully prevented the fire from spreading to a nearby residential house.

Although no injuries were reported, the material losses are extensive. The fire destroyed essential agricultural machinery, including a grain combine, a potato combine, a seeder, a sprayer, a grain blower, a silage wrap, a rotary mower, trailers, and a spreader.

In response to the devastation, the farm owner's son, Eryk, has launched a fundraising campaign on the Pomagam.pl platform. The goal is to raise 100,000 PLN to purchase the equipment necessary to resume farming operations.
