Militant attacks on mining sites in Chagai district kill 19 in Pakistan
In Pakistan's Balochistan province, two militant attacks targeted mining sites in the Chagai district. The first attack involved around 40 militants on motorcycles and other vehicles who stormed the National Resources Limited (NRL) mining project site in the Darigwan area of Chagai district. NRL said the attack occurred at the site on April 22. The assault left at least 10 people dead, according to officials. In a separate incident, unidentified assailants attacked a copper and gold project site in Chagai district, killing at least nine workers; security forces, including the Frontier Corps, responded to the attack, and the NRL issued a statement about the incident.
