Militant attacks on Pakistan police leave officers dead and wounded

In Diamer district of Gilgit-Baltistan, a police convoy returning from Thor village after destroying poppy cultivation was attacked when unidentified assailants fired on the vehicle. Local and hospital officials said three officers were killed and five were injured in the Monday ambush.
