Military exercises underway in Romania and Lithuania

The Romanian Air Force is conducting the ‘Burebista 26’ exercise across the country from September 14 to 25. The drills involve command-control and execution structures to prepare personnel for integrated and inter-arm combat operations. The exercise includes low-altitude flights and the movement of military personnel and equipment via land routes. Support is being provided by the Land Forces and Special Operations Forces.

Separately, a group of soldiers from the National Army of Moldova is participating in the ‘Strong Griffin 2026’ multinational exercise in Lithuania. Taking place from September 3 to 14, the drills involve approximately 2,500 military personnel from eight different states.
