Military Exhibition in Matamoros Attracts Over 16,000 Visitors

The "La Gran Fuerza de México" military exhibition in Matamoros' Parque Olímpico has drawn more than 16,000 visitors since opening. The free‑entry event, running daily from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. until 17 August, showcases modules on the Army’s DN‑III‑E disaster‑relief plan, cavalry, paratroopers, special forces, canine units, horse rides and historical displays. Parallel cultural performances are held in the park’s acoustic shell.

The exhibition is a joint effort of the municipal government led by Mayor Beto Granados, state authorities and Mexico’s Secretariat of National Defense, aiming to promote public understanding of the armed forces, family recreation and tourism in the city.
