Milwaukee Brewers clinch fourth consecutive NL Central title

The Milwaukee Brewers have clinched their fourth consecutive National League Central division title. The championship was secured following a 5-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates and a subsequent loss by the Chicago Cubs to the Atlanta Braves.

Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski led the win, pitching five scoreless innings and striking out seven. Misiorowski, a leading candidate for the Cy Young Award, improved his season record to 15-5 and lowered his major league-best ERA to 1.89. His performance included several pitches exceeding 100 mph.

Offensively, Joey Ortiz and Luis Lara each contributed two RBIs to help Milwaukee reach a 94-57 record. The Brewers have now qualified for the postseason eight times in the last nine years, marking a period of sustained success under manager Pat Murphy, who has now led the team to three division titles.
