Minas Gerais expands mobile health and citizen service units to towns

The Governo Presente "Praça de Serviços" in Sete Lagoas (May 30‑31) provided 7,591 free citizen services, raising the state total to 117,546 attendances and orientations since the program began in March. Services offered included national ID cards, vaccinations, social program registrations, rural producer assistance, traffic and environmental guidance, animal‑welfare care, and job‑referral support. The next stop is Passos on June 9‑10.

The "Carreta Saúde Mais Perto" mobile health unit will operate in Itaguara (June 8‑10) and Itatiaiuçu (June 11‑13). About 1,200 specialized consultations and exams—such as mammography, ophthalmology, ultrasounds, cardiology, endocrinology and urology—will be provided exclusively by referral from local basic health units. The program, funded with more than R$ 10 million, uses four equipped mobile units and has already delivered over 2,000 attendances since its launch in March, having visited numerous municipalities across Minas Gerais.
