Brazil extends Enem 2026 registration deadline to June 12
The National High School Exam (Enem) for 2026 has had its registration period extended by the Ministry of Education and INEP to Friday, 12 June. Applicants must register through the Participant Page, and the payment deadline for the R$ 85 fee (for non‑exempt candidates) is now 17 June. The extension also applies to requests for specialized assistance, name‑social treatment and to candidates benefiting from exemption programmes such as CadÚnico or the Pé‑de‑Meia incentive.
State education authorities, notably in Minas Gerais, are running a “Dia D” mobilisation to ensure all public‑school students complete their confirmation on the INEP portal, aiming for 100 % participation. The 2026 edition introduces automatic pre‑registration for public‑school students, integration with the Sistema de Avaliação da Educação Básica (SAEB), and the exams are scheduled for 8 and 15 November.
