Minas Gerais federal institutes announce new free specialization courses and teaching positions

The Federal Institute of Minas Gerais (IFMG) opened 250 free specialization seats: 150 for an online public administration program and 100 for a distance mathematics program aimed at early‑grade education. Applications run until 17 August 2026 for the administration course and 31 August 2026 for the mathematics course, with selection by lottery.

The Federal Institute of the South of Minas Gerais (IFSULDEMINAS) issued a public contest for 19 professor positions across its campuses in Carmo de Minas, Inconfidentes, Machado and Muzambinho. Salaries can reach R$13,753.96 for candidates holding a doctorate. Applications are accepted from 31 July to 20 August 2026, with a R$200 fee that may be waived for eligible applicants. The selection includes written, teaching‑performance and title‑evaluation tests, and the contest validity is two years.
