Public sector and educational opportunities in Minas Gerais

Educational and public sector employment opportunities have been announced across various institutions in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

In late July 2026, the Federal Institute of Minas Gerais (IFMG) offered 250 free specialization seats in online public administration and distance mathematics. Concurrently, the Federal Institute of the South of Minas Gerais (IFSULDEMINAS) opened a contest for 19 professor positions, with salaries for doctorate holders reaching R$13,753.96.

By late August 2026, new municipal and state-level opportunities emerged. The Consórcio Regional de Saneamento Básico (CONSANE) in Arcos announced two higher-education positions under the CLT regime for an environmental and sanitary engineer and an environmental analyst, with salaries of R$4,600 and R$4,200 respectively. Applications for these roles are open from August 22 to September 3, 2026.

In Cajuri, the Municipal Chamber published a notice for four permanent positions, including two Legislative Agents, one Human Resources Analyst, and one Legislative Receptionist. Salaries range from R$1,650.59 to R$2,667.19 for 30-hour work weeks, with registration scheduled for October 20 to November 18, 2026.

Additionally, the state has opened applications for 30 Public Policy and Government Management Specialists (EPPGG). This specialized competition includes a unique requirement where successful candidates must first complete a free undergraduate program in Public Administration at the Fundação João Pinheiro while receiving a monthly stipend equivalent to one minimum wage. The selection process will use 2026 Enem scores as the initial criterion, with applications open from August 24 to September 28, 2026.
