Minecraft announces Wilderness Bound update featuring new biome

Mojang Studios has revealed details regarding the upcoming Minecraft content update titled ‘Wilderness Bound’. The update focuses on wilderness exploration and survival, introducing a new biome known as the dappled forest. This environment will feature large poplars with vibrant autumnal hues and unique terrain elements, such as shelf-shaped mushrooms suitable for parkour.

To support exploration, the update will introduce several new items and building materials. Players can craft straw beds using hay bales to sleep outdoors without changing their spawn point, and new poplar wood will be available for construction, including doors with diamond-shaped glass. Additionally, players can craft cushions from wool to use around campfires, and new decorative palettes for wool and concrete will be added to help customize campsites.

While a specific release date has not been officially confirmed, some reports suggest a potential launch around September 2026.
