KPK investigates bribery case in Indonesia's ATR/BPN ministry
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating a bribery case involving the Ministry of Agraria and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) regarding the processing of Building Use Rights (HGB) for PT Summarecon Agung Tbk.
Eight individuals have been named suspects, including Lampri, the Director General of Land and Space Control and Issuance, the Head of the Bogor Land Office, and the President Director of PT Summarecon Agung Tbk. The KPK has also conducted searches at Lampri’s residence in Bekasi and the offices of PT Summarecon, seizing documents and electronic evidence that suggest the flow of illicit funds.
Minister Nusron Wahid has stated that he has no knowledge of the bribery details and maintains that land services will continue without interruption. While some political figures have called for his resignation due to the involvement of his close associates, Golkar Party officials clarified that Nusron had resigned from his structural position within the party more than six months ago, prior to the investigation. The KPK is continuing its probe to determine the full scope of the corruption and any other significant actors involved.
