Ministry of Education honors special education personnel

The Ministry of Education held an award ceremony to honor 57 individuals as ‘Excellence in Special Education Personnel’ for their professional dedication and innovative teaching methods.

Among the recipients, seven teachers from New Taipei City were recognized for their work across various educational levels. Notable honorees include Deng Zhao-xuan of Juguang Elementary School, who integrated music therapy and drama into specialized curricula, and Jiang Jia-hao of Zhongzheng Junior High School, who has focused on building student confidence and vocational success. Gao Pei-qin from Tamsui Industrial Vocational High School was also recognized for assisting students with learning disabilities in transitioning to stable employment.

Other awardees included Xu Yi-fen from Baisha Elementary School, who has provided mobile special education services in remote island areas for nearly twenty years, and Lin Bei-yu from Sanhe Elementary School, who utilizes tactile materials like clay to assist students with diverse learning needs.
