Ministry of Finance announces 2026 salary and leave schedules

The Ministry of Finance has released the disbursement schedule for state employee salaries for the final months of 2026. October salaries are set to begin on October 22, 2026, with separate arrears scheduled for October 7, 11, and 12. November salaries will be distributed starting November 24, while December salaries are scheduled for December 24.

Payment methods include ATMs, bank branches, electronic wallets, Meeza cards, and digital payment applications. The Ministry also outlined updated minimum wage scales for various job grades, ranging from 8,100 EGP for sixth-grade employees to 14,900 EGP for excellent-grade employees.

In addition to salary updates, regulations regarding annual leave entitlements have been clarified. Employees in their first year are entitled to 15 days of leave after six months of service, increasing to 21 days in the second year. Those with 10 years of experience or over the age of 50 are entitled to 30 days, while employees with disabilities are granted 45 days annually. Leave for hazardous work or remote areas may include an additional 7 days.
