Ministry of Health inspects new SAMU ambulances in Goiás

Nilton Pereira Junior, Deputy Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Health, visited Goiânia to inspect 20 new SAMU 192 ambulances at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) Samambaia Campus. These vehicles, part of a R$ 5.85 million federal investment through the Novo PAC Saúde program, serve approximately 3.73 million residents across Goiânia and various municipalities in the state of Goiás.

The new fleet aims to reduce maintenance costs and improve emergency care through modern equipment. Additionally, the visit included a technical inspection of the new Radiotherapy Center at the Hospital das Clínicas of the UFG. This facility received a R$ 15 million linear accelerator via the SUS Radiotherapy Expansion Program (PERSUS), enhancing cancer treatment capabilities in the Center-West region.
