Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport faces misconduct and cyberattack issues

Data from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport reveals significant internal and external challenges. Between 2021 and August 2025, 149 disciplinary actions were taken against ministry officials and affiliated agencies. The most frequent cause was drunk driving, with 37 cases, followed by 22 cases of sexual misconduct. Heavy disciplinary measures, including dismissal and removal, accounted for 43.6% of the total sanctions.

Simultaneously, the ministry faces persistent cybersecurity threats. Between 2021 and 2025, 4,778 cyberattack attempts were detected targeting the ministry and its affiliates, primarily through web vulnerabilities and intrusion attempts. Concerns have been raised regarding security infrastructure, as 11 out of 31 affiliated public institutions—approximately 35.5%—are not yet integrated into the national security control system, despite having plans for implementation.
