Ministry of Law implements Astacita program across all sectors
Indonesia's Ministry of Law is implementing the Astacita program across all operational lines to support the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Law Minister Supratman Andi Agtas stated that the program serves as the foundation for all ministry policies and services.
Key initiatives include the full digitalization of public services, with a system migration expected to be completed by October. In terms of legislation, the ministry is tasked with regulatory simplification, deregulation, and the harmonization of conflicting laws.
To improve legal access, the ministry has established 83,960 Legal Assistance Posts (Posbankum) across Indonesian villages and sub-districts. These posts have successfully mediated 14,000 cases out of 16,000 complaints. Minister Supratman noted that this mediation process helps reduce the state budget burden; resolving these cases through mediation rather than court proceedings is estimated to have saved the state approximately Rp1.2 trillion.
