Ministry of Public Administration launches inspection into Podgorica Assembly

The Ministry of Public Administration (MJU) has launched an inspection oversight procedure regarding public consultations conducted by the Assembly of the Capital City. The Ministry has requested that Assembly President Srđan Perić provide all relevant documentation by September 17.

The requested information includes details regarding the public call for participation in consultations with citizens and interested parties, which was originally published on the Assembly's website on July 17. The oversight follows a request from the Secretariat for Local Self-Government and Cooperation with Civil Society to review the application of the Law on Local Self-Government.

These consultations, organized for the first time under Perić's leadership, were held on July 22 and 23, prior to the Assembly session on July 29. The Ministry, led by Maraš Dukaj, is seeking all acts related to the publication and implementation of this public call.
