Podgorica Assembly administrative inspection
Overview
The Ministry of Public Administration in Montenegro has initiated an inspection oversight procedure concerning the Assembly of the Capital City in Podgorica. The Ministry has requested that Assembly President Srđan Perić submit all documentation related to public consultations held on July 22 and 23.
The oversight follows a request from the Secretariat for Local Self-Government and Cooperation with Civil Society to review whether the application of the Law on Local Self-Government was upheld during these consultations, which were organized for the first time under Perić’s leadership. The Ministry, led by Maraš Dukaj, requires all acts regarding the publication and implementation of the public call by September 17.
