Ministry of Religious Affairs launches Hari Santri 2026 theme and logo
The Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs has officially launched the theme and logo for the 2026 Hari Santri (Santri Day) commemorations. This year’s theme, “Santri Menguatkan Negeri Menuju Indonesia Emas” (Santri Strengthening the Nation Towards Golden Indonesia), emphasizes the collective role of students, Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), and society in building a character-driven and competitive nation.
The logo features a woven or interconnected design symbolizing unity and collaboration between religious and national life. The color palette of green and gold represents Islamic values, growth, and optimism for the “Indonesia Emas 2045” vision.
Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar noted that the event serves as a momentum to honor the historical role of scholars and santri, specifically referencing the impact of the “Resolusi Jihad” on Indonesia’s history. The 2026 program includes several initiatives, such as the “Pesantren Award” and a competition titled “Surat Santri untuk Presiden” (Santri Letters to the President). Through this competition, students can submit aspirations regarding education, the environment, and public welfare directly to President Prabowo Subianto.
