Representing President Prabowo Subianto, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi expressed appreciation for the role of pesantren in character building and national unity. Regional celebrations were held in Riau, Bogor, Lampung Barat, Karawang, and Ciamis, while a declaration was made in Kutai Kartanegara to establish child-friendly pesantren. Local activities also included prayer services for rain in Banyumas and sports in Yogyakarta.
To support the future of santri, the Ministry announced five strategic programs: the SAFESANTRI student protection program, the recognition of pesantren diplomas to enhance employment, and initiatives for technological mastery, economic independence, and digital proselytization. Minister Nasaruddin Umar emphasized that these programs aim to protect students from violence and ensure education provides competitive opportunities. International observances included an assembly by Nahdlatul Ulama students in Cairo, Egypt, where 43 students were recognized for academic achievements at Al-Azhar University.
