Ministry of Trade sanctions 367 stationery businesses in nationwide inspections

The Ministry of Trade has launched extensive inspections of the stationery sector across 81 provinces to ensure student safety and protect consumer interests ahead of the 2026-2027 academic year.

During a five-day period starting August 10, 2026, authorities inspected 3,612 businesses and examined a total of 479,847 products through shelf and cash register audits. As a result of these inspections, 367 businesses were issued administrative sanctions for non-compliance with regulations. Additionally, 2,954 businesses received official warnings and guidance to ensure they meet legal standards and provide accurate information to consumers.
