Ministry Public launches probe into negligence at São Luís children's hospital

The Public Prosecutor's Office of Maranhão (MPMA) has opened an inquiry into the Hospital da Criança Odorico Amaral de Matos in São Luís after families reported multiple deaths and alleged failures in medical care. The investigation will examine the unit's management and the contract with the company providing services, focusing on alleged shortcomings in intensive care units that led to fatalities.
