Authorities in Minneapolis are investigating the discovery of three bodies found at different locations over a three-day period. While the sequence of events has drawn significant attention, officials have not stated that the deaths are connected, nor have they identified a common suspect or cause of death.

The first body, identified as 56-year-old Karen Lynn Sognesand of Maple Grove, was found on Saturday evening in a wooded area near East River Flats Park close to the Mississippi River.

A second body was discovered on Sunday morning near the shoreline of Bde Maka Ska. The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board reported that the remains were in a severe state of decomposition. The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office took the lead on this investigation.

The third body was located on Monday near the Stone Arch Bridge by the University of Minnesota Police Department. Investigations into the circumstances of these deaths are ongoing.
