Minneapolis shooting injures nine outside Reign nightclub
Minneapolis police responded around 12:30 a.m. on July 19, 2026 to reports of gunfire outside the Reign Event Center on Hennepin Avenue in Uptown. Nine people were wounded – seven men and two women aged 18 to 27. Four victims were treated at the scene while the others were taken to local hospitals, including Abbott Northwestern Hospital and Hennepin County Medical Center.
Investigators say the shooting followed an altercation and are examining whether shots were fired from a vehicle. The city's Firearm Assault Shoot Team is leading the inquiry and no arrests have been made. Police have asked anyone with information to contact them via tip lines. The block was also the site of a mass shooting in June 2020 that injured 11 people, though no connection to the current incident has been established.
