Minnesota motorcycle accidents result in multiple fatalities
Multiple fatal motorcycle accidents have been reported in Minnesota. In south-central Minnesota, an 81-year-old woman from Tennessee died following a collision between two motorcycles on Highway 60 near Mankato. The other rider involved was not injured, and authorities stated that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
In Stearns County, a 52-year-old woman from Avon was found dead in a ditch near Munson Township after leaving a group ride to travel home alone. Police responded to a missing person report and located the motorcyclist near County Road 9. Officials noted that alcohol is not believed to have played a role in this incident.
These fatalities occur amid reports of rising motorcycle deaths across the state, despite the implementation of a new lane-filtering law last summer.
