Minnesota traffic accidents result in two fatalities
Two separate fatal vehicle accidents have been reported in Minnesota.
Near Leech Lake on Highway 371, 30-year-old Roy John Berger of Vadnais Heights was killed when a semi-truck made a sudden maneuver toward the right shoulder. The motorcycle struck a cable median barrier before being run over by the rear of the truck. The driver of the semi, 33-year-old Timothy William Hall, was uninjured. Alcohol was not involved in this incident.
In southern Minnesota, a head-on collision occurred on Highway 15 south of New Ulm involving a Jeep and a pickup truck. The driver of the Jeep, 29-year-old Guadalupe Maria Miramontes, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup, 21-year-old Hunter David Grathwohl, was transported to a Minneapolis hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities stated that alcohol was not a factor in this crash.
