Indianapolis Colts open trade talks for running back Jonathan Taylor

Jonathan Taylor Indianapolis Colts NFL trade deadline Minnesota Vikings Denver Broncos

The Indianapolis Colts are engaged in active and ongoing trade discussions involving star running back Jonathan Taylor ahead of the November 10 NFL trade deadline. According to reports from NFL insiders, multiple teams have expressed interest in the 27-year-old, who currently leads the league with eight rushing touchdowns this season.

Potential suitors reportedly include the Minnesota Vikings, Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, and Seattle Seahawks. While the Colts have been active in the market, having already traded guard Quenton Nelson to the Seahawks and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the 49ers, reports suggest the team is seeking a significant return, potentially including a first-round draft pick and a defensive tackle.

One reported offer included a second-round pick and additional compensation, which the Colts have reportedly declined. The Vikings have been identified as a leading candidate for Taylor as they look to bolster an offense that currently ranks low in scoring and yards per game, though financial constraints regarding the team's salary cap may impact their ability to finalize a deal.
