Minor Hotels expands Avani brand with new properties in New Zealand and Malaysia

Minor Hotels is expanding its premium lifestyle footprint with new property developments in New Zealand and Malaysia.

In New Zealand, the company has unveiled Avani Queenstown, a lakeside retreat designed to connect guests with the local destination. The property features wellness facilities such as AvaniSpa and AvaniFit, alongside dining options like Six to Midnight, which utilizes local and seasonal produce.

In Malaysia, Minor Hotels announced the upcoming Avani Kota Kinabalu, a 352-key hotel scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2027. Located within The Logg Luyang by KTI Landmark in Sabah, the hotel will serve as a hospitality anchor for the integrated development. The property will include five dining venues, including a contemporary Chinese restaurant and a rooftop bar, as well as dedicated meeting, banquet, and leisure facilities.
