Karachi investigation continues into death of trader Mir Raza Ali
An investigation is underway in Karachi regarding the death of young trader Mir Raza Ali. A timeline established by the investigative committee reveals that in his final 12 hours, Mir Raza was focused on securing investments and loans. This included a meeting on Shahrah-e-Faisal regarding a 7 to 8 million rupee investment and receiving notification of a 10 million rupee loan approval via bank call.
Digital activity shows Mir Raza deactivated several social media accounts, including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, in the early hours of the morning. He also transferred funds from his accounts to his parents' accounts. CCTV footage reportedly shows him leaving his home with a security guard's pistol and later traveling via an online taxi toward the scene.
DIG Amir Farooqi has indicated that the investigation team is considering releasing CCTV footage of Mir Raza’s final moments to ensure transparency. Meanwhile, the victim's sister has raised concerns regarding suspicious activity, claiming the family was being followed by unknown vehicles and that previously provided security was abruptly withdrawn. The investigation also involves questioning medical professionals regarding post-mortem reports and potentially interviewing business associates.
