Mir Raza Ali exhumation investigation

The investigation into the death of Karachi businessman Mir Raza Ali has entered a critical phase following a court-ordered exhumation at Society Cemetery. A medical board conducted a second post-mortem examination to collect fresh forensic evidence, including DNA samples from the remains and comparative samples from Ali's parents for chemical and forensic analysis.

The resulting post-mortem report provides significant evidence contradicting initial suicide claims. Findings indicate that Ali sustained a gunshot wound to the back that entered through the chest and exited near the heart, causing blood accumulation in the lungs. The examination also revealed extensive signs of physical violence, including multiple fractures to the skull, ribs, hip bone, nose, and teeth.

In response to these findings, legal representative Jibran Nasir has demanded a change in the investigative team, alleging that police are harassing the victim's family and attempting to frame the death as a suicide. The family has expressed concerns regarding potential political interference and the need for greater transparency. Investigators continue to examine an audio recording of Ali's father, Mir Hussain, discussing financial matters as part of the ongoing probe.
