Mirello Crisafulli supports Cateno De Luca for Sicilian presidency

Political discussions in Sicily have intensified regarding the potential candidacy of Cateno De Luca for the presidency of the Sicilian Region. Mirello Crisafulli, the Mayor of Enna, has publicly expressed support for the idea of the Campo Largo coalition involving De Luca to broaden its political reach.

However, concerns have been raised that the window of opportunity to form such an alliance, specifically involving the Sud chiama Nord group, is rapidly closing. Critics point to past strategic errors by the regional Democratic Party (PD), noting that a failure to cooperate during previous European elections resulted in disappointing electoral outcomes in Sicily compared to national averages.
