Mirko Bortolotti disqualified from DTM Oschersleben win

Mirko Bortolotti and the Grasser Racing Team have been disqualified from their DTM race victory at Oschersleben due to a technical infringement. Following a post-race inspection, officials discovered that the wheel bearing on the No. 63 Lamborghini Temerario GT3 did not comply with DTM homologation standards.

The ADAC reported that the wheel bearing was dismounted for inspection and found to be in breach of Article 5.1 of the sporting regulations. As a result, the victory has been provisionally awarded to Maro Engel, driving a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo for Winward Racing.

Grasser Racing Team has announced its intention to appeal the decision. Team boss Gottfried Grasser argues that a standing clarification in the DTM download center suggests the modification is permitted. The matter is expected to be reviewed by the DMSB sports tribunal in Frankfurt, and the final result remains subject to the outcome of this appeal.
